Passionate
Worship
Cantor
A cantor sings the psalm with the
congregation, setting out the refrain to be learned and leading the

Requires 1 hour for the week’s music and usually attendance at both
services on a Sunday. Staff resource

the year and can be machine washed.

each time they are scheduled to serve. Staff resource person is Rachel

Communion Stewards
The elements for Holy Communion, bread and
juice, are prepared once a month for worship services by a communion
steward. This person is asked to set the elements out before both morning
services and make sure that either the chalice or small cups are filled.
The communion steward is also responsible for tending to the communion table
while the Eucharist is being served to see that cups are refilled and
bread replaced as needed. Total time commitment is 2-3 hours. Staff
Resource Person is Rachel Burton.
Communion Servers
Those who serve communion during Sunday
worship services are responsible for bringing the communion elements to the
communion table at the appointed time during the worship service, and then
assisting the pastors in serving communion to the congregation. This may
include holding a chalice for dipping or a tray of small cups. Time
commitment is less than one hour. Staff resource person is Rachel Burton.
Pewback Ministry
Each month a different person is assigned
to maintain, clean and organize the pewbacks in the Sanctuary. This only
requires one hour two or three times a month, and includes
making sure that each pewback has a full supply of offering envelopes, prayer
request cards and pens. We ask that you pray for those who will be
worshiping as you do this ministry.
