UNITED METHODIST
WOMEN READING PROGRAM
The United Methodist Women reading program has a diverse range of books with the intention of broadening exposure to a variety of concepts. The Division does not intend that United Methodist Women accept each word or idea contained within each volume. Some books you may agree with. Some you may not. Highlighted this week is Leap of Faith, by Queen Noor.
American-born Queen Noor of Jordan is a woman of uncommon intelligence, education, and emotional grace. Very few are born that way, and this story of how she grew into the job, and role, of queen of a country of such importance to us all makes for riveting reading. It is a story of love and family, growth and loss. Noor gives you a view of a world you thought you knew, that will never look the same, and she paints a loving and memorable portrait of her husband, King Hussein, that will make you sorry all over again that he is no longer with us.

“Labels for Education”
The Outreach Council would like to remind you to be faithful in saving and giving labels because it helps the McCurdy School buy things that they need.
Campbell’s Food Labels for Education needs only the UPC part of the labels. You see the bar code and the picture of the product next to it.
Products that qualify are their soups, microwavable soups, Supper Bakes, Goldfish crackers, Franco-American, Swanson broth, and Market Day. Also accepted are plastic lids from V-8 drinks and Prego Pasta Sauces. Visit Campbell’s web site for more information and a complete list of eligible products at:
http://www.labelsforeducation.com.
Copies of the list of eligible products and the requirements are on the literature table. Please take one home with you and keep it with your grocery list; and keep those labels coming.
Thank you on behalf of the Outreach Council.
