Ash Wednesday Service

St. Luke's United Methodist Church will hold an Ash Wednesday Service from 6:15-7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22.  Special music begins at 6 p.m.

 

Lenten Prayer Offering

The Rev. Kathryn Boren will lead a time of Centering Prayer from 7-7:30 a.m. each Wednesday during Lent beginning Feb. 22. Please join her at St. Luke's United Methodist Church for a time of contemplation and meditation in Conference Room 110. Enter the building from the northwest STAFF ENTRANCE door on Kansas Street. All are welcome to attend.

 

Lenten Sermon Series (

 The cross stands at the center of the Christian faith. Have you ever wondered why? What gives it power and meaning to Christians?

 Scripture and tradition offer a variety of ways to understand its power and purpose. During Lent, St. Luke's United Methodist Church will explore what the cross means to Christians today and the difference it can make in a person's life.

How do I get involved at St. Luke's?
Opportunities for involvement - from Sunday School classes and volunteer opportunities to missions and music - are open to anyone who wants to participate, members and visitors alike. A great way to get involved is to contact the Connections Ministry and let a trained volunteer help you find a way to get connected. Immediate needs are printed each week in our worship bulletin announcements.

What is expected of members?
St. Luke's expects the following of its members: 1. To worship regularly 2. To continue to grow in your faith by participating in a Sunday School class or enrichment class. 3. To serve God with your hands, by volunteering in service to the congregation and the community and world. 4. To give in proportion to your income.

How can I join St. Luke's?

When are weekly services?
We offer two services on Sundays, 8:30 a.m. and 10:50 a.m. Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:45 a.m.
