Ash Wednesday Service

St. Luke's United Methodist Church will hold an Ash Wednesday Service from 6:15-7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22.  Special music begins at 6 p.m.

 

Lenten Prayer Offering

The Rev. Kathryn Boren will lead a time of Centering Prayer from 7-7:30 a.m. each Wednesday during Lent beginning Feb. 22. Please join her at St. Luke's United Methodist Church for a time of contemplation and meditation in Conference Room 110. Enter the building from the northwest STAFF ENTRANCE door on Kansas Street. All are welcome to attend.

 

Lenten Sermon Series (

 The cross stands at the center of the Christian faith. Have you ever wondered why? What gives it power and meaning to Christians?

 Scripture and tradition offer a variety of ways to understand its power and purpose. During Lent, St. Luke's United Methodist Church will explore what the cross means to Christians today and the difference it can make in a person's life.

Children's Ministries



Children are the heart of St. Luke's. Veteran educator Janis King oversees our children's programming.

We have a nursery on Sundays, Pathfinders Sunday school for children, and CROSSROADS and SDG Kids music on Wednesday nights.

Children's Opportunities for February 2012:

Wednesday February 15th Chili Cook-off to benefit Children's Ministries--Bring your favorite chili and checkbook and join us for food and fellowship in the Fellowship Hall at 5:00 pm....who will be the big winner this year???

Friday February 17th from 6:00-8:30--Pizza and Movie Night for children in K-5.  There will be a sign up sheet on the counter in the children check in area.  Hope to see you there!
